Interdental cleaning is the process of removing plaque that accumulates between the teeth, thereby reducing the development of cavities and gum disease. It can also be frustrating to have food lodged between your teeth, as it can be uncomfortable. Removing these food particles and plaque from between your teeth reduces the amount of sugary debris bad oral bacteria can eat. That means the bad bacteria will have fewer opportunities to create harmful acids that eat through your tooth enamel, making it easier to prevent cavities. There are different sizes depending on your interdental space. The interdental space is the area that lies between your teeth and is occupied by gum tissue. If you have receding gums, you would notice that space is larger or if your teeth are crowded that space may be very narrow. When using the EasyPick™, gently slide into the interdental space using a back and forth motion.
